Adjectives ending in “-ing” or “-ed” I watch cartoons’ on TV every evening. The films always interest me. --- The film is interesting. Many adjectives are derived from verbs, and ending in “-ing” and “ed” •    "-ing" adjectives are used to describe the effect that something has on people’s feeling.       bore          -->               boring       charm        -->       charming       surprise    -->       surprising       interest     -->       interesting       excite        -->       exciting       Example:   I hate Mathematics class because it is boring.
